LU language policy

Lund University is a public body with an international environment. The LU language policy (2014) clarifies LU's position on language use. One goal of the policy is plain language:

Plain language means that communication uses polished, simple and comprehensible language. Lund University is to have a good level of language use and all communication emanating from the University is to be characterised by plain language, regardless of the language being used. Plain language is to increase both quality and efficiency and contribute to a good reputation within wider society.

The other two goals concern parallel language use (which means that Swedish and English are used side by side at LU) and multilingualism (which means that linguistic diversity is encouraged at LU).
